Japan to pay up to ¥300,000 in financial aid due to the pandemic

It has been determined that Japanese government revokes this subsidy.
Then, 100,000 yen will be distributed to each person in Japan
Even high income persons can receive 100,000 yen.
So, information below is old one.

Depending on your salary, you may be able to receive Japanese governmental support

Assumed
Mr.H (Salaried worker living in Tokyo)
Ms.W(Not working)
Child C1
Child C2

Normally Mr.H received salary (Before salaried income deduction. The same applies hereafter) of 300,000 yen per a month.

However Mr.H’s monthly salary has declined. Because he is working in restaurant and his employer needs to suspend its business. So, Mr. H can not work normally.

Amount of Mr. H’s salary of February OR March OR April OR May OR June has declined

Either of these months, amount of his salary is 200,000 yen.

In this case,  ESTIMATED annual salary amount is 200,000 yen × 12 months = 2.4 million yen.

It is below 2.55 million yen. This 2.55 million yen is reference amount in the case of four household members.

In this case, Mr.H’s household can receive subsidy of 300,000 yen from Japanese government.

How to prove decline of Mr.H’s salary

When he receives salary from his employer, he will receive payslip.

So he can submit a payslip of either of month. On the payslip, 200,000 yen will be indicated.

And he can also submit withholding tax slip of last year.

He may be able to apply for this subsidy by post or internet.

Though detailes have not determined yet, he will be able to receive it in May.

If your salary has declined radically, you may be able to apply for this subsidy

There is another case.

Assumed
Mr.H (Salaried worker living in Tokyo)
Ms.W(Not working)
Child C1
Child C2

Normally Mr.H received salary of 800,000 yen per a month.

However Mr.H’s monthly salary has declined. Because Mr H can not work normally due to corona virus.

Amount of Mr H’s salary of February OR March OR April OR May OR June has declined

Either of these months, amount of his salary is 400,000 yen.

In this case ESTIMATED annual salary amount is 400,000 yen × 12 months = 4.8 million yen.

Due to corona virus, his month salary has declined by 50% or more and his estimated annual salary amount has become less than 200% of 2.55 million yen.
(2.55 million yen × 200% = 5.1 million yen)

In this case, Mr.H’s household can receive subsidy of 300,000 yen from Japanese government.

In any cases, details are not determined by government. They are still considering and it will be changed by external pressure.
